About The Architect...

Sarah Hayes was West Coast born and raised. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture with a concentration in furniture design from The University of Notre Dame. She has practiced Architecture at Hartman-Cox and Zaras-Neudorfer Architects in Georgetown. Hartman-Cox is "particularly noted for its sensitivity and response to site and context, as well as its stylistic flexibility." Here Sarah worked on projects for clients such as the National Park Service, Smithsonian, University of Virginia, Duke Univesity and UNC. While at ZNA, Sarah collaborated on a variety of high-end residential projects in places such as Cambridge, Nantucket, Washington, DC and Potomac, Maryland. Sarah is a classically trained, fully licensed Architect with an eye for creating liveable, thoughtful spaces for her clients.

Sarah now practices architecture independently in Chevy Chase MD, focusing on residential design projects and interior design. She and her husband enjoy spending summers and weekends with their four children in Annapolis. She loves trail running with her dog, paddle boarding, playing tennis, walking with friends and watching her children grow.
